not so odd mssql problem

just seeing if anyone has a quick fix really, we've used MSSQL Server via the plesk powerpack before on our reseller space, works a treat. however when we moved to VPS Hosting we didnt bother with the powerpack... without going into too many details (as i dont know them all!) it seems that adding an MSSQL Server database by hand is a little fiddly, as the database runs as a network service and not as a user account, so without using impersonation in webconfig as admin you cant access the database... well correction you can cause we've half sorted it, however its very fussy compared to the point and click happiness the powerpack brought us.

2 very simple questions, are we making adding databases via windows too hard somehow? ie is this normal behaviour, and should we just buy the powerpack?

We would like to suggest you to go for 'Plesk Powerpack' as, you will get an Additional Language Packs, it will enable MSSQL for plesk and also you will get SpamAssassin Anti-SPAM Software.

Then plesk allows you to use webadmin (same as phpMyAdmin) and you can add, edit, delete databases from plesk.
