Default One Reasobale Question

So I have one reasonable question:

My website infobettor.com was running perfectly fine and fast for 14 days. Then suddenly on this Saturday it almost dies - one page opens for 60 seconds.
When I contact the live support - Alec told me that one of the datebase needs to be optimized and also I need to go for semi-dedicated plan.
I' am reasonable man I am used to listen to people when the give me an advice but I need an answer to one simple question:

"How can be everything could be o.k. for 14 days and then whithout any reason there is to be this huge overload. It can not be a traffic issue as normaly during the week we have 200 unique vistors, on Satturday they are 300 but 100 people for the whole day shouldn't make any difference.

I on purpose don't send this question trough the support ticket center as I had the same problem one month ago and I open the ticket (#IPT-53753-557). I receive an answer that infobett_datebase cause a huge overload and I need to optimized it and that VPS support team have optimized my vps setting for best performance. The best is because of their changes My website go down
I needed 2 hours on the live support to persuade one boy called Ken to put the old settings again as I prefer to have slow website instead of having nothing. It was very interesting chat, far away from the great support you claim to have.
However after Ken put the old settings - the website was ON and he also claimed that he has optimized this infobett_datebase for me.

That's why I taught that with this problem is over until I woke up today. I hope somebody could answer my simple question ?

Hello,

First it's a nice design site, so you are on a vps right now ?
I tried your site and it loads just fine for me.

I can only make speculations so i will say about the latest news. Probably you are getting info from the db for this, but is is refreshing quite fast and this might cause problems on your database and cpu load and memory limits.

Databases use a great amount of cpu and memory, so if you want you can try increasing the time from one refresh to another.

P.S. What software did you use to create your site ? (which cms)

Thank you Manolis for the praise about the design...Yes now is loading o.k. And that is the most strangest thing about the whole story - two hours ago it was moving like a turtle and without any decrease of the traffic or to make any changes to the settings now the website is running well.

About which program was used I need to check that with the developer and I will tell you, as far as I know he was using clean PHP

So, i suppose that you are running out of resources, i don't think that your 512MB of ram and the % of cpu you have is enough for you.

BUT! Still there might be a problem on not well configured/written script.

How big is your database?

We have checked the logs for your vps on the node, we can also see that the vps is going out of memory due to a php process running. Following are some of the logs.

Currently I have added 100M extra memory to your vps, this should help to avoid the issue.
