Problems with Wordpress creating directories

Hi all,

This is my first day with eukhost and I'm having a few problems. It seems wordpress cannot write directories on the server and I don't really want to chmod everything to 777. I tried a support ticket but it's been about 1.5 hours now with no response and the livechat just doesn't seem to be happening for me with nothing beyond the operator asking how they can be of assistance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually about 2 mins ago I finally got past the "how may I assist you" and one of the livehelp guys is going to turn on PHPSuexec which should fix the issue.

Hi

Implementing phpsuxec will solve this problem. It provides the facility to run all php scripts running the relevant user account instead of under the apache web server account "nobody".
Hope it will solve your issue

Can I just say a big thank you to eUKhosts. I was having a similar issue on my VPS. I found this post, set up a live chat and within minutes I had phpSUexec running on apache. No more "nobody" on my server and a lot less hassle.
