Running my own DDNS?

Just wondering if it was at all possible to run DDNS on my VPS?
The idea I was having was instead of using a free DynDNS.org account to gain remote access to my home PC, to have a subdomain on one of my domain names.
I know that I would need to install a client on my PC to update the IP address as my router doesn't support other solutions, but what would I need on my VPS?

Hi,

You can simply set A record on your VPS for your subdomain and make it point to your home PC's IP address. You don't need anything besides named/bind service on your VPS. If you have a cPanel VPS, then the named service will be there by default.

If the IP address of your home PC is dynamic, then you will need to install following software on your home PC :-
