Default script for hosting query on vps

Hi,

I have been learning the hard way from day one, I have an online store that has been running a while and due to various issues I wanted to go it alone.

I have modified osccommerce script to get the functionality I want and it appears to run okay.

So I started to look at hosting and the sales people I talked to over the last few weeks convinced me to go with EUKhosting, at the moment not sure if i have done the right thing or not.

I want to setup a means of adding domains and hosting automatically and to auto install my modified osc script on my new bought today vps server, in fact I already have two person to have a web site with me once I am ready.

Now I have my enom account (looks expensive to use mind) for the domains, I can create packages in whm or at least i think I can.

Now I need some script to allow the selection of a domain name and hosting package and for it to automate, I have seen other sites setup a site with osc shop, hosting and set products in 30 minutes I will be happy if I can get something within an hour or so.

Can anyone recommend an integration script please?

also I could do with a quick checklist for me to check i have everything setup correctly in WHM.

Thanks in advance for your help, I apologies for my lack knowledge but when i was born i knew nothing and now I know a little...lol have to start somewhere.

Thanks
MadW

Thumbs up Hello

Hello,

Actually, we don’t have any ready made script available to integrate osCommerce with cPanel. But I think, there is a third party cPanel auto account creation php script available. I am searching the script for you on cPanel and osCommerce forums. I will get back to you as soon as I find something.

Thumbs up Hello

Hello,

I think I got something, please refer cpanel auto account creation script - cPanel Forums URL. You can download the script from Download Cpanel Auto Account Creator 3.0 - Cpanel Auto Account Creator script allows you to start a Free Hosting Website or a Paid Hosting Site. - Softpedia

This Cpanel Account Creator script allows you to start a Free Hosting Website or a Paid Hosting Site. It allows Paypal Payments for Paid Accounts. It has the Ability to create Accounts of Cpanel using API of WHM automatically.

How it works is that admin can create hosting packages from Admin panel the users can order the hosting packages (Free or Paid) the admin can add the WHM details so that accounts can be created Automatically.

Not sure if this will help you. Please feel free to reply for further assistance.

Hi Shane,

thanks for the response I have been looking around, quite a scary thing taking it to the next level without a clue.

Always liked a challenge though.

Okay is 22:45 and I will take alook at it now and see how I get on.

Anyone experience of dram/AWBS systems, looks right but like to know how others got obn with it first since its not the cheapest (or dearest) script available.

Thanks

MadW

had all hell on to download the script from every site I found it on.

I am guessing its not available at the moment or something.

sounded like it would have done the job though.

Thanks

Have you tried WHMCS or ModernBill? They both have powerful APIs to integrate with various shopping carts & do have control panel integrations as well.

We at Eukhost used Modernbill in the past, it's a wonderful piece of software, but later on had to switch over to WHMCS, which is another great & AFAIK the best billing software

Further more if you want to go ahead & build your custom scripts using the CPanel API, which they do give out, you can refer these links for more info:

Default whcms and modernbill

had a look at these earlier today, but couldnt get any answers maybe its becauise its a weekend or maybe because I am looking in the wrong places.

just speaking to accountlabs plus and need to go to there support to try and get it up and running so decided to leave it for now.

be a lot more straight forward if you had a system for us all to use from the start.

theres so many to choose from, of which half dont appear to be supported anymore and the rest cant get the answers when you need them.

its going to be a fun time, is it always this easy...lol

timr for bed anyway, the wine i have drunk tells me ratioanl thought is dwindling.

Thanks for your suggestions will look at them tomorrow
