Virgin Media users - issues?
Hey foks,
I am a Virgin Media user based in bradford.
I have had problems accessing any sites on my VPS Hosting and another web site hosting i generally browse. I did some pingin and a trace route and it seems to me that it is my ISP's problem i cant access the sites. But i am not 100% sure. I was wondering if anyone else was having any issues getting onto website hostings hosted by eUKHost?
If so any idea as to why? Is it a eUKHost problem or does it seem its my ISP's problem?
Thanks.

Hi Daniel,
I dont see anything wrong with the network as I was able to browse your website hosting successfully. I am not sure why but your WHM seems to be quite slow even though there's no load on your VPS Hosting nor on the main node hosting your VPS Hosting. You should contact our VPS Hosting team and get your VPS Hosting moved on one of our new Q6600 nodes as that will improve speed and performance of your VPS Hosting.
There is no firewall installed on your VPS Hosting so there's absolutely no blocking from our end. If you get your VPS Hosting migrated on one of our new Q6600 servers then the IP blocking problem will also get sorted.

Thanks for the quick response, highly appreciated.
I was in contact with the VPS Hosting team the other day regarding my specification as i currently recieve 10GB of space and 200GB of bandwidth for the L- VPS Hosting-01 package, which is currently been advertised as 15GB of space and 300GB of bandwidth, if i do move it to the new server, will i get the upgrades in space/bandwidth too?
Thanks.

I'm on Virgin Media and don't suffer any problems with my VPS Hosting' - although I am currently in Hertfordshire so that may not be relevant!

Virgin Media have been having some issues in the last week. I've had DNS related ones where I've had to flush my DNS and then the sites have loaded fine. The fix for that was to set the DNS servers as fixed in the router I use, rather than get them automatically from the ISP. It might be worth trying that if you can get ontot he sites aftering flushing your DNS (ipconfig/all in command prompt).

Hi Danny,
I too am a Virgin Media customer and can't say that I have ever had any access problems. I've had other problems with VM but not related to my website hosting .

Even though you're under the Virgin Media umbrella, you could be on an entirely seperate system for internet as you use cable. Basically Virgin Media operate the NTL and Virgin.net systems seperately (they have different tech support for both) and as such there can be a problem on one and not on the other.

The VPS Hosting is up now. The technical support team has resolved this. The VPS Hosting had to be restarted. Thats why took a little while.

My Question is Why?

Vps
The server is really non-responsive. Plesksrv.exe running at 60% processor usage all the time.
I've attempted to restart it via RDP. been down now 10 minutes, doesn't look like its coming back up!
I need someone to take a serious look at the it. Or I require it moved onto a different server.
I cannot have this much grief when I'm trying to host ecommerce sites.

The VPS Hosting administrators are working on this. We are aware of this on-going issue. There are a couple of users who are using excessive resources, more than their fare-share . . .

Well yes, thats why I went for cable - it is a lot more reliable from experience and is basically just a continuation of what NTL were doing .

Hi there
REFERENCE: 2437457
Thanks for getting in touch with the Virgin Media support team regarding the issue that you were having accessing two website hostings.
I have checked the website hostings from here and I have been able to access them using the Virgin Media network. Could you please try accessing the website hostings again and please let me know if you are still unable to access the two website hostings.
If there's anything else we can help with, please let us know.
Kind regards,
