VPS to Hyper-V VPS migration

I am considering "upgrading" my current VPS to a new Hyper-V VPS, and I have a question or two:

Is there a way to automatically migrate my existing VPS to a Hyper-V VPS?.. It would take me quite a while to migrate my VPS to a Hyper-V VPS if I had to do it manually...

I have been reading about "Live Migration" tools for doing this... Is there any way it can be done in my case?

I look forward to hearing back from somebody who can answer these questions for me...

Hi Bill,

Unfortunately there is no tools available to migrate Virtuozzo VPS on HyperV server. Live migration tool is available in Virtuozzo VPS only. We will have to setup HyperV VPS and then migrate your VPS data on it. If you have plesk on existing windows VPS then it will make work easier. We can create plesk backup which will create backup of website files, emails, database and restore it on HyperV VPS.

Otherwise we will have to migrate your data manually. Our windows admin will help you in data migration. Please do not worry about it.

Hi,

As you have less no. of domains, Plesk backup and restore process should not take more than 1 hour. If you have any third party script or software installed on existing VPS then you will need to install the software again on HyperV VPS.
