Never used CentOS - however it does seem to be winning the poll here!! Maybe I will give it a go.

Would you still go for CentOS as number one choice for desktop use?

I have worked with FreeBSD, Redhat, Suse, CentOS, Debian, Fedora and Mandriva and the best that I found within them is Redhat but now they ask for alot of money for the up2date license, therefore I prefer to use CentOS.

CentOS has improved alot and they have made things very easy with yum, also it is most recommended OS with most of the Linux based web control panels.
My vote goes for CentOS.

I would still go with Cent OS. I don't know about others, I am using it for long time and quite satisfied.
