Question on transfering from VPS (non urgent) - UK Web Hosting | Dedicated Server Windows and Linux VPS Forum

Hi,
Question.
We have a VPS Hosting right now, but if we wanted to move it to a dedicated server, would we keep the same IP's or would we have to go through another change of IP again?

Hello Karl,

You will get different IP address if you order a new dedicated server.

I think we can make arrangements so that the IP will not change but then it will make very difficult for you to move the sites over.

It also depends on what subnet do you have your VPS Hosting in and whether we have a place for a dedicated server in it.. and it all allot depends on what HW specification of dedicated server you purchase, in short it is all about the time & situation we are in.. but if it is possible we will surely do it for you.
