Default Viewing project without domain directed

Hi there, just a quick couple of questions.

I'm having a go at moving my forum today from my old hosts.

Can I bring the files and database over and view this on Euk while my domain still points to the old host? My fear is members coming across while I am trying to setup or troubleshoot.

My other question is I'm thinking of trying to do everything using the back facility in Cpanel and then also the restore facility in Cpanel.

Has anyone else move a vbulletin board successfully via these methods. i've looked on Vb and they tend to use telnet but it's a bit beyond me that one!!

thanks for reading, Andy

Does your previous web host use cPanel? If so, eUKhost will be able to initiate an instant transfer.

Hi there Thomas, thank you for the reply.

Yes it has whm, with cpanel accounts and telnet.

This sounds interesting.

I am turning my forum off at 12pm today and giving it a good clean up of old postings and then i'll be ready to move.

kind regards, Andy

Transferring accounts from one cPanel to another cPanel server is not a very tedious job. We would be glad to help you with this if you want us to.

Hi Nick, yep that help would be great.

Who is the lucky chap taking this on, or shall I start a live chat session to go through this?

I'll await your instruction.

many thanks, Andy
