Hmmm.. we've several sites hosted on our
Windows Plesk & Linux cPanel shared hosting servers, where
MAXIMUM [95%] sites are hosted on the shared IP itself.. I've never heard anyone mentioning about their page rank & Search Engine Optimization depending on the IP addresses. Search Engine Optimization & Google ranking are only concerned on the quality of content, keywords, domain name etc. the IP address makes no difference from the SE's point of view.. ahh & if it does, I'm learning something new
The only problem you can face with having a site hosted on a shared IP depends on the nature of neighbours you are hosted with

If the shared IP is abused by someone, hosted on the same shared IP,
it may result into getting that specific shared IP blacklisted, either by spam engines or by the Search Engine Optimization-er who is busy handling the inspection job, classifying good sites from the bad..
Well.. this debate on hosting sites either on shared IP address or a dedicated one would be inconclusive.. but if you're on the correct budget & care for the site's ranking [ahh as everyone does

] a dedicated IP would be suggested..
