UPDATE
After some digging through the log files for mail I found this reference to PRT Record.

bury.gov.uk has refused your connection because your server did not have a PTR record

I'll post a ticket as I assume the PTR needs to be setup by the support team

when trying to reach the recipient from any email on any of the domains our server we getr the same error
However if the exact same email is sent from a domain on another server, it gets through without a problem. We have contacted several of the people that we are getting these errors from and their IT staff assure us that the emails are not being blocked at their end.
Could this be a problem with the IP address or is it perhaps some simple setting im missing?
