Post Applies for Helm :
Folder Permissions on Webspaces
Problem
What permissions should be set on the Domains folder (the folder that Helm creates domain folders in)?
Solution
Assuming you have set up domains to be added to "C:\Domains", you must now set the following NT user/groups to the c:\domains folder:
Administrators
SYSTEM
These must have FULL permissions on the drive.
The NETWORK account shouldn't be necessary. If you have ASP.NET websites setup in Helm, then the ASPNet account (on Windows 2000), or the NETWORK SERVICE account (on Windows 2003) will need to also have read and execute access to the folder.
All the folders underneath should NOT be changed. Helm will set this up properly. If you reset these folders then they will no longer function.
If you support additional web application such as Perl and PHP, you will need to ensure that their installation folders provide the rights for the HELMWEBUSERS group with read and execute access.
