Default Getting past Email Junk Filters

Hi,

I'm sure someone out there has come up against this in the past so I'm hoping you can advise me

I am sending automated emails from my website using CDO but they are getting stuck in Hotmail Junk.

I have had rDNS and a SPF record created for my domain which I have verified are successfully setup OK but still automated email goes to Hotmail Junk.

If I manually send an email using pop3 from the same address and with the same subject / body it goes through to the inbox fine.

I have compared the headers and the only differences is this line in the email that gets marked as junk:

Received: from EUKSEMI3815 ([127.0.0.1]) by home with MailEnable ESMTP; Wed, 20 Aug 2008 17:25:46 +0100

in the one I send manually it comes from my home pc / ISP IP.

and also this line:

X-Mailer: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000 (Junk)

compared to

X-Mailer: Microsoft Office Outlook 11 (accepted)

I am wondering if this is because my server has 2 IPs - the mail server uses the main IP and my domain exclusively uses the secondary IP. Is Hotmail comparing the 2 IPs and deciding my email is spam?

I have now just updated the SPF record to associate my domain with the same IP as the email is being sent from to see if that will have any effect. (the rDNS has not been touched and stil points to the domains IP)

Does anyone have any advice they could give?

Cheers,

Tom

Hi Tom,

I have requested one of our windows system admins to make necessary changes in Mailenable settings on your semi-dedicated server to fix this problem. Please allow them some time to get this sorted.

Hello Tom,

Can you please provide us with the exact link you are using to send automated emails from your website using CDO script so that we can look into the issue further ?
Also I would request you to pass all the details to windows@eukhost.com so that any one from us will investigate the issue and update you immediately with the status.
