Thumbs up Sample connection string for asp.net

POST APPLIES TO : WINDOWS (asp.net's)

Following are two sample connection strings that you can use for your ASP.NET application:

Quote:
[appSettings]

[add key=\"ConnectionString1\" value=\"DSN=my_DSN;uid=my_id;pwd=my_pwd\"/]

[add key=\"ConnectionString2\"

value=\"server=server_IP;uid=SQL_USER_ID;pwd=my_SQ L_Password;database=My_DBName\" ]

[/appSettings]

Thumbs up

This is a more appropriate connection string for connecting to a MSSQL 2005 database using ASP / ASP.Net :
Quote:
<add name="SampleConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=AAAAAA;Initial Catalog=BBBBBB;User ID=CCCCCC;Password=DDDDDD" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
Where :
AAAAAA : Your server's actual IP address.
BBBBBB : Your database's actual Name.
CCCCCC : Your database's actual Username.
DDDDDD : Your database's actual Password.
