Smile Automated Welcome Emails?

HI,

Can't find an easy answer to this one so hopefully one of you kind people can advise me.

I have recently signed up for reseller hosting and am getting on quite well at working everything out - usually through trial and error of course.

I intend to sell hosting packs (obviously) to clients I build sites for and directly through my website hosting. For the latter I need to automate everything as I will not be able to be sit in front of my computer 24/7.

Now I have been looking at and pretty well set up PHPCOIN and intend to use the WHM plugin that as far as I can see should set up accounts automatically upon payment which is what I want, however. Is there any way I can automatically send the new customer an email with the relevant password and IP address/nameservers etc? Basically the information that I see when WHM sets up a new account.

Does any other billing/hosting management packages have that functionality as I can't see that PHPCOIN does. Are there any work arounds?

I've not asked at PHPCOIN forum yet as I'm still waiting for verification.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Many thanks.

Hi Gerald,

You should consider WHMCS as it does everything that a shared hosting and reseller hosting provider would expect from a billing system. We use WHMCS and we have full automation for cpanel shared hosting, cpanel reseller hosting, windows shared and reseller hosting as well as domain registrations.

WHMCS also includes monitoring service as well as affiliates section. We use different software for auto installation of Dedicated Servers and VPS Hosting's, but I guess you don't want that level of automation as of now.

Please visit Main Page - WHMCS Documentation and you should have no other questions before getting started with WHMCS

Thanks for the suggestion Mark.

WHMCS certainly looks like what I will need. I've had a rethink about my approach at the moment. I set up initially to concentrate on providing hosting to clients who I build website hostings for. Then I got to thinking I could rent hosting to "cold" clients too. This is the bit that will need the automation.

I think I'll wait until I build up my client base through my design activities first and invoice manually through paypal and monitoring locally through a spreadsheet. When my customer base increases to the point that I need to automate more things I'll go the way of WHMCS and extend my hosting business then.

I'll have more experience in hosting and design then and more importantly I'll have more money coming in first. It's easy to get carried away at the beginning. I should stick first to what I originally planned.

Great experiences so far. Thanks for your support.
