Unhappy This is a Disgrace

I was migrated to the new 'brilliant' server last week, and other than a few teething troubles, all was going well, until today... I tried a support ticket via email and had no response whatsoever - I tried this forum and had no response from support - so I tried live chat...
That turned out to be hopeless but at least I got him to stop telling me I was being migrated.
I'm very disappointed in the service I've been getting of late and the normally good support has really let me down today - nearly a full day of downtime - and my sites have been taken down - reinstalled with old backups (presumably taken from Kingair - which I'm not on!!!) and taken down again and reinstalled - then databases not configured then everything looking good finally - before it all to start again. I forst noticed what was going on early this afternoon - but now at midnight, sites are still down and I haven't received anything from my support tickets. I have had just about enough I'm afraid.
EDIT - OH JOY! Now all the FTP accounts have gone down again!!!
I will be leaving Eukhost.

seems like your website was using Nameservers of Kingair though it was migrated to other server. Kingair got migrated today on a new server and you seem to have experienced downtime due to migration of Kingair.

I apologise for this trouble and I will request ou billing department to issue credit for this downtime.

I'd appreciate that - what I've been after all day is some acknowledgment that there was a problem and for some good communication about its resolution - I've had neither.

Having read all of your recent postings and, as I have no hidden agenda (i.e. I'm not an employee, agent for, moderator o.b.o. eUKhost), forgive me please for expressing an opinion and asking a couple of questions, after a short preamble?

In my first three months with eUKhost I ran into considerable problems with Linux VPSs, multiple times and nearly departed BUT, I always conducted my discussions with them in private, by telephone, Messenger Chat or Support Ticket — you chose a different method of ranting and I'm just left wondering if it was the right way to go about it? We'll never know ...

But back to the point, ALL of the problems with unreliability, sluggish performance, thrashed hardware etc., went away as soon as I took the (financial) risk of taking on a dedicated Linux server. From the ridiculous to the sublime, there was no comparison! What's stopping you from taking this step?

OK, so you'd need a Windows server (and maybe that's not as analogous as I think it ought to be), but as a presumably successful reseller, isn't this close to being affordable for you too? I reckon it's worth trying out as a final step before going off to another (unproven) provider, particularly as you'd have a money-back guarantee and some possible pricing negotiation if you remained, hmm? Take the gamble ...

FWIW, my view is that virtual server technology is only as reliable as the other idiots on your node allow it to be and there's always at least one, wherever you go — you upgrade to a semi-dedicated and it's the same scenario, just fewer power-users but they're as potentially disruptive, if not worse! I don't think it much matters how superior the hardware is — yes it helps, but only temporarily in my view and, as VPS hosting becomes more affordable it exacerbates these issues. YMMV?

I appreciate that shared hosting has its problems, and when things are particularly bad I will point it out either herein the forum or in a ticket so that support is made aware of the problem. My problems of late with Eukhost have been stupid comments from support (this hasn't been typical in the time I've been with eukhost in fairness) or live chat - which is like pulling teeth, and this debacle yesterday where it looks for all the world like I'd been re-migrated to the new server despite having been migrated to it only last week. Also having support telling me that my sites havent been down when I know full well they have as I've been watching the restarts of plesk, server, mysql and goodness knows what else.
I want to work with support to resolve any issues, but recently I feel like I'm being lied to or fobbed off.
I'm stuck with windows hosting because I have a site that uses ASP - but yesterday's fiasco (without any real explanation of why I was having problems on my sites when I wasn't (or shouldn't have been) being migrated, has forced me into rewriting my ASP site into php/mysql. The I can move everything to my linux host, which has run like a dream for 6 months.
If the server had to be restarted then I accept that - but my sites where actually being replaced with older versions, before the more recent versions would then re-appear an hour later... before everything would then go off again for the umpteenth time. An explanation of this I'm still waiting for.

new server was setup few weeks back to replace King-air. Our windows team moved your account on the new server prior to migration of remaining accounts of King-air. Migration of remaining accounts was initiated yesterday.

seems like your data was overwritten when data was getting migrated from the old server. We had some problem in swapping IPs of both the servers, but everything got sorted by 11 PM last night.

Well, touch-wood things seem to have settled down and I'm not noticing any problems. However, I did appreciate the offer of billing credit given that I had effectively been migrated twice and had a nightmare of a day and effectively 70% downtime last Sunday, but... I haven't noticed any credit??
I have one outstanding payment and would like to wait until any credit is applied to my account before I pay it.

If you contact the billing exec on livechat and point them to this thread they should do it however you might need to wait for mark to come in today. If livechat can't help, email mark[at]eukhost.com and I'm sure he'll sort it when he gets in.

Ok, live chat with Karen was quick and easy. Although I've been infuriated with the recent problems, I'm very happy with this resolution and I think its fair. Hopefully the server (which seems to be stable enough this week) will prove to be reliable and fast for a while yet - fingers crossed.
Thanks for your efforts.

You are welcome

You won't see any problems on this new server, at least nothing related to load or slow browsing.
