Default domain name selling

I have a Linux standard reseller package and am running a few of my websites from this. I want to set up my home page for my web design and hosting service, where my main client base will be local small businesses who havent yet got a web presence. I will be offering web design and hosting and domain name registration.

I read the review on this forum about Whoiscart and am looking into purchasing it for my website. I have a few questions I would like to run by with you guys first.

I have read that the reseller package i have includes an enom account where I can purchase domain names cheaper. Does this need setting up? I have purchased a domain name through Eukhost through my account but I didnt get it cheaper. I have looked for Enom in WHM & CP but cant see anything.

If I do have an Enom account how do I set that up on my home page?

I noticed this post here
Is the Hosting Controller only available with the windows reseller?

Does it matter that I have a shared IP for using Whoiscart and is it worth me getting a dedicated SSL?

Got loads more question but dont want to overload!

Hello,

Yes, hosting controller is only available for Windows platforms. eNom account reseller is not automatically set-up upon ordering, you need to contact the support dept. about this. With the eNom account, you can re-sell domains as well as buy domains.

Hello Jaydis,

You can open a ticket from our helpdesk http://www.support.eukhost.com and request for login details of your enom reseller account.

Hosting Controller control panel is available with Windows Reseller packages as well as Windows Shared Packages.

Whether to stay with Shared SSL or go for Dedicated SSL depends on you as both fulfill the main aim of SSL; i.e. transmitting data in encrypted form over the networks. One of the main considerations in using a shared or dedicated SSL is the URL and how it will appear to your customers.

With Shared SSL, the URL may look something like this:

https:// secure.ukhostsupport.com/~username/

While with dedicated SSL, the URL is determined by you, either as another registered domain or as a sub domain of your website domain name.

Feel free to post your other questions.

Thanx Ryan, I have sent a ticket for my enom account.

Other Questions:

I assume that Eukhost recomends whoiscart, I have read through their web website and it all seems good stuff. I think I will pay for the installation but I cant see anything about the extra $12.50 for this service, is it an option once I hit the buy now button?

Do I have zend? as explained here http:// whoiscart.net/requirements.php
Is everything ok at my end to run the software? Is the server properly configured; notably open_basedir under safe mode (whatever that means)

so... Whoiscart will install everything needed to my website, so that on my homepage visitors can search for a domain name, which I can buy through my enom account. Is this all done prety much automaticly or will I need some php coding to do myself within my homepage?

Thanks for the help & support. I just love eukhost, you are all so cool!!

The paid installation service by Whoiscart is optional, so after the purchase of the license you can pay $12.5 to whoiscart and they will complete the installation for you.

Zend is already installed on the server and the server is properly configured; notably open_basedir protection which the whoiscart system requires.

You will need to configure whoiscart using their intuitive registrar interface to register and resell domains through your enom account.
