Default ISAPI_Rewrite

Can this (or something like it) be installed on the windows server (87.117.234.246) as one of my customers is asking for it. How much will it cost?

ISAPI_ReWrite Lite has been installed on the server. Let me know if thats sufficient for you as the pro version will cost more than $75.

Thanks Mark - I think it might do for my customer. Can you point me in the direction or where/how to configure it?

Hello,

Please refer the following link for more details on the ISAPI_Rewrite
www. isapirewrite.com/docs
www. isapirewrite.com/docs/#examples

Also, I have installed the Microsoft provided : RemapUrl Version 1.0

Quote:
Overview: RemapUrl version 1.0 for Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 redirects client HTTP requests for Uniform Resource Locators (URLs). RemapUrl consists of two files: RemapUrl.ini and RemapUrl.dll. RemapUrl.ini stores your list of URL mappings. A URL mapping is the assignment of one URL to a different URL or one URL to itself; for example, /Test1.htm=http://www.fabrikam.com or /Test1.htm=/Test1.htm. RemapUrl.dll reads HTTP client requests to see if the requested URL is in the RemapUrl.ini file. If RemapUrl.dll locates a mapped URL in the initialization file, it modifies the request header with the mapped URL and sends the request back to the client. RemapUrl does not remap URLs for host header websites or for websites on ports other than 80.
The help file can be downloaded from : http:// 87.117.234.246/iisTools.chm

Let us know if you need anything else.

This sounds like what I've been after for a while now, which of the two would you say is best?

Also where can I find the httpd.ini and RemapUrl.ini files to define my rewrite rules?

Not yet - trying with ISAPI_ReWrite, but as it is the lite version need to get a ticket to get any rules uploaded to root of the server. As my customer is still learning about all the regular expression stuff in the rules it's proving a slow process. I asked (via ticket) if we could upgrade to the full version (so individual websites can set their own rules) but even though the cust is willing to pay, it would appear that only way to have the full version is to switch to windows VPS - but that is way too expensive for me (about 3x the shared reseller hosting).
