Default Kingair slow???? - surely not :(

ok - its a few weeks since I was moved to kingair from eurofighter, it was suspected that eurofighter had users who might be hogging resources given that the server had become very slow, so i agreed to go through the hassle of moving to kingair and indeed initially this server was super-fast. Plesk also is super-fast. But... This evening Kingair is rendering my websites as slowly as eurofighter ever did and am wondering if one of the accounts that have been moved to kingair after mine is in fact one that was hogging resources?? Perhaps not, but something is making the server suddenly slow and its infuriating.

Maybe there are some bad accounts on that server. It would be an idea to open a ticket with 'windows [at] eukhost.com' or from http://support.eukhost.com. I don't see how Kingair could be slow though, as it's a Q6600 server; have you checked your internet connection?

one customer was overloading mssql. We have disabled his account.

I am finding out if that customer was moved from eurofighter or is this someone else.

Thanks for the responses - of course if the problem continues into tomorrow I'll open a ticket - but I just wanted some feedback first. The problem is erratic, but that's how it was on eurofighter to begin with.

Good to see that the offender has been tracked down. When a new server with that kind of spec is slowed down it is normally either a hardware or software problem or a rogue account - and from experience it seems most of the time to be rogue accounts or people who have 'accidently' overloaded their account and therefore the server.

Things are fine on the server. We have stepped up monitoring of the servers as well.

Yes, the server appears to be running fine - this did seem to be an intermittent problem, so its either resolved, or we keep missing it! Good to see monitoring is stepped up and I do genuinely hope there's no more problems.
