I've taken out a windows reseller account with the intention of running all our charity websites from it. Each of our domains is run by someone different, so i want them to have their own control panel and access.

I've logged in and got to the Plesk page, but I'm lost. Are there any guides to help me through? I keep searching and just find snippets here and there. I've set up domains, but can't work out how to get to individual control panels, get FTP/site access details etc.

Also in my welcome email, it says the domain is chelmsfordscouts..org.uk Is the double .. a typo or normal? will it cause problems?

Hi.

Firstly, is there any particular reason you have a windows hosting account? If not, I strongly suggest you get a linux hosting account as they are more reliable and stable. (eUKhost can transfer your account over to linux for free if you tell them nice and early).

You wont need a linux operating system on your computer to have a linux hosting account, it can all be managed if you have Windows

We went for a Windows account as we want to put MS Access databases on one of our websites. As i understand it i can't do this under a linux account?

I've just had a live chat with Alfred and Thomas and it looks like i can't do what i want to do with this reseller package, even though sales people told me I could!

Following a very hard call between three people in what i assume is a foreign call centre (who just told me to email my question anyway!) I've now requested a move to a linux reseller package, and i'll look at a different solution for my Access/MSsql databases.

Hi Kristan,
I'm on Linux reseller hosting myself and it should be easy for you to set up different accounts for the seperate domains on the server. Regarding the MS Access things, I can't think of the best solution off my head.... Obviously if you were planning on running it off the server, you couldn't do that but if the file was just for reference, you could download and people could then look at it (providing they have access). I'm guessing that's not what you want though.

I'm sure someone else will come along with a better solution than me. I'm currently recovering from my first day back at uni so I'm not quite with it!

Thanks Nick. I've logged in and checked the ticket. I'm following up some of the advice on there and hopefully can do what i want with the windows account afterall. Just getting one of our domains transferred over so I can see if it all goes as I hope.
