Default not a happy customer...

i should have made a new post but i tried to keep it clean and instead i posted it in my old post..which is here...
http://www.eukhost.com/forums/showth...2073#post32073

all day today site been up and down like a yoyo...load has been vey high all day long.. live support.. last time i spoke to them they said senior admin is dealing with it and i will be emailed once issue is resolved. that was at 12 pm...now it is 5,30 and end of the bussiness day.. i made no sales on the site as none of my customers were able to place orders... my phone been ringing that they cant shop online.. loads slow and it is timing out... i cant log in my self to do manual orders as the site time out on me...

i been a loyal customer for over 7 months. and had no issue since now.. i need somebody to tell me when the issue will be fixed.. it has taken me a long time to create a loyal customer base and it has taken u guys one day to ruin it all for me..

i cannot go on another day like this... your live support all they do is restart the apache servie when i tell them site is running slow.. when i ask them what is the cause .. all they say is a process got stuck...

if this happens over and over.. surely there is reason why processes are getting stuck... find the reason and solve the problem.

Now as i write this site is down again.. and it surely be up by the time i finsih with this post.. ..

i cant lose another day like today... ..it was running perfect till few weeks ago.

i know you dont gurrantee 100% up time but going up and down like a yoyo all day long .. that is no service at all..

i moved from 1and1 last year as they were horrible at there service and you been good up till now.. it will be a horrible thing if u guys end up like being.. 1and 1

Hi,

Please can you send an email to either 'nick [at] eukhost.com' or 'feedback [at] eukhost.com' if you feel that you are not receiving a satisfactory level of service. Either Mark or Nick will endeavour to reply to your email this evening. If you have a MSN messenger, then you can try and catch Nick on it by adding him (nick [at] eukhost.com).

Alternatively, you can wait for either of them to reply here which should be within the next couple of hours.

Hi Irfan,

Please add me in your MSN. I will get this sorted for you.

Something is wrong as the new server is suppose to be better than the old server. I'm not able to figure out why the load is high on the new server.

Add me in your MSN and I will get things sorted for you.

Hi Chris,

I've managed to sort out problem with Firefly. "PT_SMTP" function was enabled on the firefly which no one could figure out as there were no logs generated on server to point towards firewall.

Things look much better now and you can verify from your end.

Oh dear. This doesn't bode too well does it.

I just purchased a dedicated server today but with about 15 minutes of starting to configure it it suddenly became unavailable. I've spoken with live support but they don't seem able to get it started and it's been down for close to an hour now.

I'm attempting to move from my present hosting company as we've been having so many problems with them and I promised a lot of clients that their hosting would be switched by tomorrow morning.

I sincerely hope I'm not jumping from the frying pan into the fire here!

Update... Looks like it might be back online seconds after posting this.

Hello Jon,

Your server is fully functional. The NOC techs have looked into it. I was with them. It was a fault with the network device which has been replaced. You are welcome to email feedback[at]eukhost.com at anytime if you have a grievance.

Hi Nick,

No grievance, just worried.

I've been through hell over the past few weeks with my current hosting company so I guess I'm paranoid about the same thing happening again. Particularly after promising my clients that this would resolve all of the problems.

Thanks for getting the problem sorted out. Hopefully I can get on and transfer my customer's accounts now.

Cheers

Jon

Hi Jon,

sometimes cpanel fails to change hostname settings in /etc/sysconfig/network which results in such network problem. This has been sorted and you won't face such problem in future.

I do understand how frustrating this can be when you are already troubled with different things, but please be assured from our side as we are always here to help our customers.

I have now transferred the majority of my domains across to eUKhost and had a chance to test out the technical support at the same time and I have to say that so far I'm very impressed.

The support team were very prompt and efficient even in the early hours of the morning and made sure that my new server was running as quickly as possible. I managed to get over 40 domains moved from my old host in just a few hours with only a couple of minor DNS issues this morning.

Thanks for all your help!

I moved into Marketing long time back

Our technical staff has managed to migrate n number of servers till now without any problem. Things went wrong this time due to one wrong setting in CSF firewall and Ruby on Rails + Tomcat made things worst.
