Hi everyone,

This is my first post, though I've been a customer of eukhost for almost a year now

I'm still very pleased with the service!!

I was hoping someone might be able to give me the server specs...just basic info. I know I'm on the Standard Linux Reseller and my ip is: 64.38.46.226

I've done a lot of searching around the website and the forums...but I've been sick lately and its giving me a headache

Glad to see you on our forum

Right now your reseller account is hosted on our only US based server which is a Dual Core P4 3.0 GHz server with 2GB RAM.

We have left this server in US as some of our US based customers need their websites to resolve from US only. If you want your account to be moved on one of our UK based high specification servers then open a ticket from http://support.eukhost.com and request our support team to do so. There wont be any downtime during this migration process and you wont loose any data.

Speaking of that .com. Is there any plans for better servers to rival the UK ones here in the US ?

I can't say for definate as I don't work for them but I'm thinking probably not as it's only recently they brought all the servers back to the UK datacentre.... But I'm sure Mark will say something completely different proving me wrong! Lol.

OK, id just hate to see the people who need to be in the US left behind. Not that I have experienced any problems since the change to hawk.

Yeah. We can upgrade hawk to high configuration server but there has been no problem on hawk so far. very few US or Canada customers signup with us as space and bandwidth advertised by some US based hosting companies is quite huge in comparison with our plans.

Right now we are offering VPS's in US for customers from US and Canada but demand is not much as of now. If you have some suggestions then let me know but we wont think of competing with US based hosting companies as their way of dealing with competition is quite different from UK based hosting companies.

As you and I both said nothing is wrong with hawk, im quite happy with it. I just wanna make sure that there is permanently a server here in the US. I have friends on different comapny servers here in the US and the support / uptime is terrible vs eUK.

We have few backup servers as well in same location in US as we move 1 copy of our monthly backups in US. we wont need to upgrade hardware of hawk for at least 1 year

And I would think there'll always be a server there if there is demand for it so I wouldn't worry!

lol. We managed to get that rhythm so hawk would have been migrated but few other customers also requested to have 1 server in US to host websites of their customers who need better rankings in google.com and not google.co.uk

We will add more servers in US once the demand starts increasing but as of now vps nodes in US are doing good job so we wont need more shared servers in US for now.
