Shhheeesh!
I've heard nothing from support (ticket:#AHM-78986-967) in 5 hours - perhaps that means its being worked on as we speak - but with Eurofighter delivering website hostings at a stupidly slow speed and Plesk taking 130.125 seconds to login (according to YSlow), then there is something definitely wrong with the server as it is. I'm feeling a bit in the dark and although I understand that these things can take a bit of time to sort - I would like at least some information about the problem or its progress. Or perhaps I'm invisible??

Williams is working on your ticket right now. Guys are somewhat overloaded due to migration of Vigilant but he will reply to your ticket shortly.

Ok thanks, it's just sooo slow I can't work on it at the moment, which of course isn't good. I've just spend 20 minutes trying to export a database, which, as you know, is a 2 minute job ordinarily.

Hi There,
Just got an update from the technical team. This has been fixed. There was an issue with IP's on the server. Control panel as well as website hostings are now resolving at acceptable (normal) speeds.

I got my response from support and there were IP issues - however, this if far from fixed.Website Hostings are still rendering unacceptably slowly and Plesk is slower than ever. When I finally get through to the phpmyadmin link - everything grinds to a crawl and phpmyadmin never actually manages to render. I have replied to support with all this info.

I have got the technical team to look at it again. I would be able to update shortly on what's exactly happened. Nothing too serious for sure though

I hope it works - I've noticed everything is being restarted and all seems a lot faster. Fingers crossed that that's sorted :-S
Thanks for the updates.

Yes, there were a few scheduled tasks which had been guzzling resources on the server. Things are back to normal now.

Yes, all is much better - although FTP has been off for quite a while now - I'll be patient given that I've waited this long and things seem to be getting better.

OK, I had typed a rant but I'll calm it down - suffice to say that eurofighter is erratic in its speed of loading web pages/sites. Plesk on Eurofighter is still very slow to the point that it can't really be used - takes three minutes just to login. I was pleased that everything got sorted yesterday - but today its back to how it was. Very frustrasting.

Hi there,
Rock was at it. He seems to have improved things. We however will try to have a full scale look at eurofighter once again.

Yet again, when eurofighter seems to be fixed - it grinds to a halt! I'm getting;

quite often now and it is not only frustrating and doubling my working time - but also means that I am having to seek alternative reseller hosts as I need to provide a full service for my clients.

do you want me to get your account moved on a new Q6600, 8GB RAM Server ?
This are some newly setup servers which are giving superb performance. Eventually we need to upgrade all servers in future to this configuration as I've never seen such high performance server previously.

It does sound like a good solution, my main concern would be the migration. Its not that long since I had to reset all of my website hostings manually to move from the Hosting Controller to Plesk server, and although ultimately beneficial, it's certainly time consuming. This new server I would imagine uses Plesk, so would some of this migration be automated? Or would it still involve my doing a lot of donkey work? Either way, I would be interested in moving as eurofighter does seem to be having frustratingly intermittent problems.

Since the new server is also a Plesk loaded box, it wont be that cumbersome. A lot of the migration would be automated. Since the control panel versions are 8.2.0, this whole thing would take about 3 hours from the time a support request is raised. All the data would be migrated for you.
