that sounds excellent! - I shall back up my MySql databases, then the website hostings before opening a migration ticket - just in case Although shall I assume that I will still have access to eurofighter until I am satisfied that all data is moved successfully?

I will ask the support department to keep the access for eurofighter enabled for you. Once you have checked everything, you would just have to update the ticket for us to delete the eurofighter account for you.

Please do update about the ticket number for reference.

Yep. You will have full access to eurofighter account till you request to terminate it.

We will be moving your account with the plesk migration utility so there wont be any sort of data loss during migration.

Ok - I've backed up my website hostings now anyway lol - and databases, so would be happy for a migration to begin. Shall I open a ticket? If so, shall I reference this thread?

I hope this works as its been a nightmare to backup eurofighter - it behaves fine for the most part but then I'll have 5-10 minutes when plesk or phpmyadmin simply don't respond - and checking the website hostings during that time finds them connecting slowly. A couple of minutes later, everything is whizzing again.

The current open ticket about the general state of eurofighter is #AHM-78986-967 if that helps any?

One more question - will MySQL Server data be migrated also? Or will I have to import that?

Please open a new ticket for the account to be moved. That should take care of it. You may update us on the forum once you have created the ticket. We would watch it for you

This is being taken care of right now. Should be done in an hour at the most. Eurofighter access would be enabled for verification as well

Wonderful - I can see it happening, so that's good service! I'm off to make some dinner while it completes and will attempt to check it all out this evening.

One small issue/comment - the branding of emails and server location is webhosting.com and not eukhost.com - something you may want to fix

lol. didn't I say something about its configuration ?

I've never seen such cool processor previously as it never bothers for anything no matter what services you run.

for your information its a "Core 2 Duo Quad Core Intel Q6600, 8 MB cache" CPU, and the server has got 8 GB RAM.

It is a joy to work in I must admit - however, the migration achieved nothing but setting up domains.

Mysql databases are not transferred;
Domain usernames/passwords are not transferred;
Domain settings/allowances are not transferred;
Domain mail are not transferred;
Domain templates are not transferred;

In fact nothing is transferred but for the domain names themselves - which is the easiest part of setup!!

I used the backup facility on eurofighter so that I could reset all of these settings easily, but backup is disabled on the new server - and support said it was because it uses too many resources! So was it a waste of my time to backup all of my website hostings yesterday if I can't restore them today? (I'm not sure if backup remembers username/mail settings, but I got the impression it did)

It would seem that I have just as much work to do moving from Plesk to Plesk as I did moving hosting controller to plesk.

I have Williams working on this right now. The account was created manually due to which the Plesk migration utility was not used. This time around, the Plesk utility is in use. So all the data would be restored. I am looking over this myself along with Williams. Will update the ticket once done.

I did forget to mention that files were also copied - but without databases, logins and other settings, they're not much use on their own. I am going through and replacing settings and website hosting quotas now anyway, so it's ok, I'm in the 'zone' now and just getting on with it lol.

Hi there,

Williams is already halfway through. I would request you not to perform any operations at the moment on the account. Since all the data (including website hosting data is being restored through Plesk itself, every KB of data would be there once the restoration is finished.

I would be keeping you posted.
