Trouble with file ownership

I am getting odd permissions errors throughout the application, phpbb3 mostly.

Don't know what is going on. All the files on my website hosting appear to be owned by a particular ftp user. I don't think that they should be owned by that user and I'd like to change them back but I can't see any way to chown these files nor do I have any idea what I would change them to.

seems like some cache files and SQL Server dumps had ownership of user nobody in your phpbb3 installation. I have sorted this and now all files and folders in your phpbb3 installation have ownership of your user.
