Question VPS or Reseller account for reselling?

Any advice on this? Do the reseller accounts offer any particular benefits for resellers? I would just be worried about problems from a shared server.

Any experiences from existing users on reseller accounts would be appreciated..

Reseller Accounts are the perfect solution for resellers. The features and functions that are included with reseller accounts allow you to create seperate web hosting accounts, with individual logins etc.

Thanks for the reply. I actually have a VPS with EUK and several reseller accounts in the US. I would like to offer hosting to more of my clients than I currently do. The two major hold ups for me are performance and support.

Am I correct in thinking EUK will handle email support if it's forwarded from my end users?

Yes, I do *believe eUK-host offers end-user support to your clients via e-mail, although you'll have to ask a sales representitive about it as I'm not too sure.

We do offer Free End User support via our Helpdesk to clients of our resellers. The end user support service will cover 24x7 Support for your customers anonymously. All you will have to do is setup a form on your website for your customers and they will open tickets from that form. All tickets will be answered by our staff members without any signature and there wont be any way for your customers to figure out that you are reselling our hosting.

Many thanks for everyone's valued input. The email support thing is quite important - and particularly useful.

For client management, does anyone have any particular preference? I've seen people talking about ClientExec, WHMCS and others, as well as various helpdesks.. what do people recommend?

I have experience with WHMCS and would highly reccomend it. It's the best billing system in terms of the most billing methods and merchant support.

I use WHMCS at the moment and have nothing bad to say about it. The support that you receive is superb, and you can expect most things to be fixed quickly if you find a problem with it. I also use Kayako for my support system - the program itself is great, but Kayako as a company are completely hopeless.

One other thing I'm going to say is stay away from Modernbill at all costs. Version 4 of the software was covered in bugs, but the new version 5 has been rendered useless by most people and it won't be long until ModernGigabyte as a company go under. If you want clarification about the Modernbill problems, just do a quick Google and you'll be amazed at what you'll find.
