Many things are being sold on ebay on purely subjective value, the sellers don't have a target market as such and buyers have no idea about the legitimacy of the sellers.. but buying and selling is going on.

This has been done before - and it worked - they sold quite a few "air guitars"!
It was on the local (North West) news a year or so ago when someone did it then! Subsequently to the news channel tried selling a bottle of the studio air for charity which went for quite a bit of money!

I remember an eBay auction trying to sell a dead mermaid, it sold for thousands. eBay should stop these types of auctions.

Ive seen far worse sold on Ebay. SOmetimes the auctions are very funny and highly amusing. I do enjoy having a read of these when they pop up, but I dont know on on earth would be stupid enough to waste their money on them.

eBay has plenty of rediculous items for sale. They are pointless and people buy them. but they get ALOT of advertisement for eBay. They make the news constantly because of it. Its free publicity.

True. I saw a mini metro once that had been painted in fully burberry colors. it didnt even work and it had somewhat 1000 questions about it. The listing was sooo funny. It sold for about £600 in the end I think
