Email Amusement
This was the highlight of my day today (too many lectures and too many meetings!).
I received an email which was explaining the minutes of a meeting and what needed to be done etc. All fairly serious apart from the fact the person forgot to attach them.....
Two minutes later, the subject of the next email:
"Shit, sorry. Forgot to attach it."
It certainly made me laugh!!!!

Hehe, at least I'm not the only one who does that. I now attach the document before I type the message so that I don't forget lol.

It has got to be high on the "Top Mistakes Made On The Internet By Users" if not the first item!

I too follow the same way now . . . It ensures that the mails always go out with the attachments. Embarrassment avoided
There were a couple of incidents where I had prepared reports in spreadsheets & then forgot to attach them. The mail sent out was a biiiiiiig one, sans the attachment

I think a great new feature of an e-mail client would be to check if the word "attachment" is in the body of the e-mail and if it is and there is no attachment attached the e-mail program should pause the sending and ask "Are you sure you have remembered your attachment?".
PS to all email client makers (especially MS) - The idea is patented, trademarked and copyrighted DPS Computing. All rights reserved - feel free to pay me royalties if you wish!

Sometimes I do have nice brainwaves that are useful - its just a case of sorting out what is useful from what is not!

I admire the idea of David "Are you sure you have remembered your attachment?", I think he should patent this idea.

I'm trying to ponder how you'd actually word the patent to cover all eventuallities.... And how it would all work... Would it be something like if it found the word "file" or "attachment" in the text it would prompt? Or would it just do it anyway?

Only if certain words are found.
Normally in emails I send where I am intending on sending an attachment I normally have the words "please see attached" or something like that in the email text.
