Are the Tellytubbies gay?
I'm sorry, but I just had to post this one, it was too funny not too. The following article is about people in Poland worried about the Tellytubbies influencing their childrens ***ual orientation over time. Now I'm sure we've all seen them at least once...

Only tinky-winky was gay if memory serves? Po and la-la were girls and dipsy was the modern version of Tomsk from the wombles.

Need I say more .
But on a serious note, god people think to seriously about these things and read far too much into things.
Tinky winky is just a 21st century man.
Have none of you heard of "man bags"? (go and get one ---> http://ganley.org/bags/bags.html).
Also does no one remember the famous "Friends" episode - wasn't it Chandler who said "It's not a purse, it's a man bag!".
I say "go tinky winky" - he's a modern man

Might be due to their triangle shaped antenna—The triangle symbol gay folks often use.

Thanks for the confirmation! I was thinking I had a 1/3 chance between Chandler, Joey and Ross - it was a nice try .
Do you have the trivia game (and know all the answers to everything Friends?) or were you just addicted to it on TV?

I was never addicted - I watched it because subsequent girlfriends have all watched it and I'm cursed with a good memory so it makes me look like a fan. It was entertaining enough lol.

I really doubt one TV programme is going to influence the ***ual orientation of children, and by the looks of other news reports on that BBC page, it seems the Polish are really homophobic.

I do agree with that, for instance many parents opposed for Daniel Radcliffe ( the Harry Potter star ) for the n_ude scene– in “Equus” but these parents even not try to realize that he may be the role model for their children but he is also an actor.

Regarding Daniel Radcliffe - compared to what people get up to these days being **** in an acting role isnt exactly a huge sin. We are in the 21st century after all!!
What about the CBBC presenters and Blue Peter presenters that have been caught snorting cocaine? - Is that acceptable to them?

I agree with DPS, don't take them serious it's a kids show. If they wanted everyone to turn gay, they'd air it on an adult's channel. lol

Teletubbies was filmed around 5 miles away from where I currently live, and so the production company, RagDoll is based in Stratford, meaning that the story made the local paper today. It made a very interesting read and it turns out that Tiny Winky is more of a symbol of gay pride for one thing. The article says that he is purple, which is the gay pride colour, and that he has a triangle on his head, which is the gay pride symbol.
I'll let you all ponder over that one...

To add to my previous post, other kids shows have a hidden s exual meaning. Take Captain Pugwash as an example, how did they get away with the following character names?:
Master-Bates
Seamen-Stains
I'll let you all work them out.

flesso, absolutely right. Even Rainbow got in on the act with a special xmas show for the staff - that WAS aired eventually - that they stuffed a full of se_xual innuendo as possible. The kids didn't get it (a lot of adults didn't too, which was more funny) but to the rest of us, it was bloody hilarious.
Check it out at http://seehere.blogspot.com/2006/09/...t-version.html
But the regular shows often had a lot of less obvious se_xual innuendo anyway. And who doesn't think George was gay?
