Hello all,

The thread title sums it up nicely but I will waffle on a bit anyway. Within the next few months we will be opening an office in the Leeds area and there will be some vacancies available for the right people. Experience with webhosting is essential and any previous sales or support experience will be advantageous.

Job 1: Duties will include taking inbound sales calls, occasional outbound sales calls (requested by potential customer). No cold calling involved. Dealing with sales requests via live chat and tickets will also be required.

Job 2: Duties will include inbound and outbound telephone support to our hosting clients. Good technical knowledge is vital. Dealing with support requests via live chat and tickets will also be required.

Rates of pay will be dependent on experience but it will be in excess of the National Minimum Wage. eUKhost also offers a wide range of benefits to our top performers. This would be in the form of cash incentives, gift vouchers or even free computer equipment.

Hi,

It's hard to justify setting up sales and support offices in London itself. This is because our servers are in Maidenhead and it makes no sense to have any remote work done in London. I'm sure you are aware of the higher office costs and also wages in London. I'm not saying it will never happen but if we can offer the same thing a couple of hundred miles away it makes it hard to justify, especially when it is so much cheaper to offer. Obviously keeping our costs low keeps your hosting costs low

out of interest, how big is EUK as a company, how many employees currently?

Hi Andy,

Other webhosts seem to react badly when we reveal our number of employees and our size. We have therefore decided to keep this information private. I'm sure you can come to your own conclusions if you frequently use our support, billing or even sales services.

I dunno, the weighing factors are 340 riding days in NM vs 40 in Leeds and the homebrew is more expensive in Leeds. But for a Dedicated Server I may be tempted lol

Great! Wish you the very best, and congratulations! I am happy that eUKHost is doing well. I would have loved to visit the offices, but it will mean walking quite a distance from where I reside!

Nice to see eUKhost expanding quite rapidly since I joined eUKhost in February, and of course expanding for the better. Any estimation on the opening day of this new office in Leeds, John? And would the Leeds office be the main location to take sales and support calls?

I'm still trying to find a good office. Actually finding an office is hard because everything is done via brokers. I made the mistake of giving one broker my details and now I have a dozen phone calls every day from people trying to sell me an office.
