Your friend might want to consider contacting airlines and tour operators. I believe they pay extra for every language you speak.

Translators get good money to, obviously going up and down depending on who and where you work .

Yes, translators are some of the best paid people in the world when they land important jobs. The highest paid ones that I can think of are the ones that work for the government and organisations such as the UN and ones that work in foreign embassies get a crap load more!

This local start led to the creation of a French-speaking Biologist Network , a directory for the approximately 3000 French postdocs around the world. Our aim is to develop collaborations and communication between scientists, and we hope the directory will be a great help for people looking for a job since we have advertised it to 300 biotech companies in France.
