Another domain registration question!! : Sorry !!!

A client who runs his own private investigations business asked me this afternoon to register a few domain names on his behalf.

Did so and all appear to be up and running ok.

However, I have uploaded an "Under Construction" web page to one of them and when I type the url of the website hosting into my browser, it cant find anything?.

The web address is:-

www.hidemyaffair.com

Dont ask!!! Its all very cloak and dagger, private investigator stuff !!!.

So I'm wondering why after uploading the files its not showing anything up when I attempt to visit the site?.

Domains take 48 hours oficially to take effect accross the whole of the internet, thats the problem.

I kinda suspected that m8, but after my previous thread on the last domain name I registered where a member of staff here replied and said it takes minutes rather than hours for a domain name to become active, I got a bit confused.

Thought this one would be up and running by now, I will check back again in the morning and see whats what.

Hello Gary,

I did some investigation on this domain and managed to make out that the nameservers of your domains registered today were pointing to the server getting filled right now. I've got all your domains pointed to Viking and all you need to do is add those as addon domains or parked domains as per your requirement.

You have already added hidemyaffair.com so it should work fine in the morning.

RE: domain propergation time - 24-48 hours is given as a guide for being at the upper end of the scale. In reality domains take a lot shorter amount of time to propergate in 99% of cases. Hope that clears up the confusion .
