I think it might be because firefox's security is better than IE7 - in most cases thats a good thing, but here it's annoying. I always used to get this with PLESK control panel when logging in (with another web-host) and that's something I would have thought used a recognised certificate.

I know you weren't requesting a critique but I thought I'd mention a few things if thats ok?
Firstly, I don;t think its best usability practice to have a visitor open a PDF file without warning - and main website hosting links shouldn't really be the place to link to an external application - this is likely to confuse and unsettle a visitor - I'd be inclined to have your link (prescriptions) to point to a dedicated page where the vistor can then choose whether to open the PDF file or not.
Secondly - your website hosting is centred in IE7 and Left-aligned in Firefox - not sure if you're aware of this. Looks fine in both but it's a decrepency that you might not want.

i am always up for open and constructive criticism! i assume there is not much i can do about the security issue then? I had noticed the left allign thing in firefox yet havent sorted it... unsure at the moment as to why it would be left alligned seeing as it is set to be centered... ah well!

Thanks

Simon

If you check the source code for your page you'll see that you have some messy code, with extra unnecessary head, body and html tags (look for my '<<< DELETE' markers) and also duplicates of title, meta http-equiv and stylesheets:

HTML Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Vets4you</title>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="thickbox.js"></script>
</head>                                                                            <<< DELETE
<link href="default.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<style type="text/css">
<!--

body { margin:0px; padding:0px; background:url(images/bg.gif) repeat}
}
.style10 {font-size: 9px}
.style11 {font-size: 18px}
.style12 {font-size: 7px; }
.style14 {font-size: 14px}
.style15 {font-size: 9px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; }
.style16 {font-size: 10px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; }
-->
</style>

<body>                                                                             <<< DELETE

<html>                                                                              <<< DELETE
<head>                                                                             <<< DELETE
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<title>Vets4you.co.uk</title>
<base href="http://www.vets4you.co.uk/catalog/">
<link rel="default" type="text/css" href="http://www.vets4you.co.uk/catalog/stylesheet.css">

</head>
<body >
<!-- header //-->

<!-- start -->
You'll also find you have an extra pair of closing body and html tags right at the end. I did a paste of your code into Dreamweaver, did some rough edits and it then displayed OK in Firefox (as far as I could tell, bearing in mind I had no background nor foreground graphics and no stylesheet).

To conclude, I'd just like to add note for Mark that there are still problems with this vBulletin setup and even the HTML Code windows do not behave correctly — I'll be amazed if the extracts of code that I have tried to display actually do, considering that every time after I preview them they get discarded in the editor ...
