Default Having problems setting up my email address with Windows Live

Hi there,

I'm trying to set up an my email address on the desktop version of Windows Live. And I'm having a few problems. I keep getting an error message when it goes to check the account.

Can anyone tell me whether I'm entering in the right information from CPanel. Here's what I've got so far:

Email Address: myemailaddress@mydomain.com
Password: The password I typed into CPanel when setting up the address

Login ID: Mail Server Username
Incoming Server: Incoming Mail Server
Port: 110

Log on using: Clear Text Authentication

Outgoing server: Outgoing Mail Server
Port: 26

My outgoing server requires authentication box: Ticked

Unfortunately, I keep gettin an error message though. Can anyone help at all? I'm not using the SSL options for either the incoming or outgoing mail. Is that the problem?

Any help much appreciated!!

do you get the errors on the send or the recieve?

if on the send check that it is set to 'use same settings as incoming' for the authentication.
also try port 25 (usually the default) .

if all else fails you can always d/load the configuration settings for outlook express from cpanel - which i expect will work with windows mail

A bit of both I think! The error message just says that the connection to the server has failed and that it can't send or receive messages.
