Default How to point a domain on 1and1 to my site on EukHost?

I've just purchased hosting with eUKhost but my domain name is held at 1and1. How do I get my domain to point to my website hosting on here?

Hello Geoff,

We have sent welcome email to you with login details for control panel and it also includes nameserver information. You will need to login into your control panel with 1and1 and find out option to change your nameservers.

Once you point nameservers of your domain name to our nameservers then within few hours your domain name will resolve from your new account with us.

Hello Geoff,

You would have received the Nameservers information in the welcome email sent by our billing department after sign-up. Primary and Secondary nameservers will be included in the welcome email so all you need to do is login in your account with 1&1 and update those nameservers over there.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I've been on to 1and 1 and changed the DNS settings. It doesn't seem to be the same as what i've seen in other tutorials etc though.

It has sections as follows:

Basic DNS Settings:

1&1 name server (unmodifiable)

Advanced DNS Settings:

IP Address (A-Record) - This section has space for an IP address. I inserted my first eUKhost nameserver IP here.

Mail Exchanger (MX-Record) - This has a series of boxes labeled 'MX 1 / Prio' 'MX 2 / Prio' etc. I didn't really understand this so have left the default settings.

I'm only a forum gremlin (moderator), and do not work for eUKhost in any way. Opinions expressed by me are mine only, and do not reflect those of either eUKhost or any company that may be listed above.

I don't bite, honest.

Well the displays that Josh has done are quite comprehensive so I am sure you won't have any problems doing it now.

Just change the primary and secondary nameservers and your done - time does everything else!
