Please can you check the contents of the .htaccess files to see if there is any corrupt data.

If you find no problems with the .htaccess file, I suggest you check to see if the correct chmod permissions have been set

Alternatively, please wait for a staff member to reply, and they'll be able to provide you with additional information.

Hi,

Im getting the exact same error, was working fine last night but getting 500 errors as of today.

Im on the same server aswell: Manchester

The error logs are showing this:
[Tue Apr 15 16:18:02 2008] [alert] [client xx.xxx.xx.xx] /directory/path/.htaccess: Invalid command 'SecFilterEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

I have 'SecFilterEngine Off' at the bottom of the htaccess file which I added inorder to make joomla work......not sure why this would cause an error though since it was all working yesterday and has been for the past month or so.

Still getting the 500 error here

URL: Wont let me post it cause I have less than 5 posts :/

Theres no immediate rush for me so if its still not working tomorrow and we have no official responce I'll have a play with htaccess file and see if I can fix it.

Have you tried popping on to livechat? They should be able to sort things like this for you.

I'm guessing either mod_security was disabled, or Apache as upgraded.
