Hi,

I can't access my website hosting anymore. I get an Internal Server Error message 500.

What does it mean?

I opened a support ticket earlier about password-protection and .htaccess and since then everyting's gone awol.

I've almost finished setting up my OSC shopping cart so I got all worried and stressed out when the web site hosting stopped working. I thought I had done something worng, that I reinstalled the backup, copied, changed, removed, backed up, restored, copied, changed, etc but still nothing works.

I have contacted the support again and they said they are working on it, something about a batch.

I need to understand... Is it something to do with .htaccess? Or is it something I changed and bugged my system? Is it a problem with eUKHost?

Does anyone know?

No, there's no problem with server configuration, It seems that there is some misconfiguration in .htaccess file .I’ll check it and reply to your ticket.

I have .htaccess files all over the place. In my root folder, in my public_html, in my admin. I don't know what is what!

Hello Florence,

I have added all those rule in htaccess as well as removed unwanted htaccess file. Yes you can enable/disable password-protect through cpanel.

Thanks for that Alex but bad news! I just had a look and the error 500 is back. I promise you I haven't changed anything!

"RewriteRule ^(.*)-pri-(.*).html$ product_reviews_info.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_ST RING}" Rule was causing problem because there was space between T and R letter , It has been corrected. Please check your web site hosting is working fine.

Hi again Alex,

I guess you are gone now but hopefully you will be in tomorrow and will be able to sort this issue for me:

I have just realised that I cannot view the product info/description. I click on cart, I get redirected to the cart but if I click view or on the picture I get a 404 error.

Can't see no problems with the spaces in file.

It happens on all the product information pages, for example:

https://www.pebblestar.com/big-ring-p-34.html

I did this once. .htaccess files are very sensitive and sometimes can mean that you lock yourself out or if and error occurs in it it can throw up errors.

I have modified some mod_rewrite rule in .htaccess file now http://www.pebblestar.com/.%20HEADER_IMAGE_LINK%20. URL is redirect to https://www.pebblestar.com/

It's strange,

everything works fine for me. Can you recheck after cleaning the local machine cache ?

I'd strongly recommend you to place a ticket to our support dept [support@eukhost.com], having ATTN::ALEX as the subject line.
You'd get a faster response from the support board as most our technical staff concentrate working on the board than rather here.
