Default It's Awful

I've spent hours trying configure the hosting for simple php scripts then they change the settings again so it doesn't work.

The reseller whm blocks my IP addres if I use more than one cPanel.

I am invoiced on the 29th and receive rude automated emails on that day although I bought the hosting on the 1st of the month

Obviously for security reasons to maintain the integrity of both your account and the accounts of others on your server sometimes settings need to be modified. This is unavoidable.

There is no reason why using multiple cPanel accounts should block your IP address as far as I am aware. I use multiple cPanel accounts with no issues.

If you believe that an e-mail is rude I would suggest that you e-mail back the department (I imagine the billing department in this case) with your concerns. However, I can't say I have ever found any of the automated e-mails rude myself - maybe you could tell us what part was rude?

Hopefully we can get some of your issues sorted out with the greatest of speed .

Invoices are also generated X amount of days before the due date, as with all services on the internet.

Default I'm invoiced at the middle of the month

I'm invoiced at the middle of the month then told it is overdue if not paid on the 29th - this is simply dishonest

That is to give you 2 weeks to get the payment ready. You would find it very unfair if eUKhost invoiced you on the 31st, you didnt have the money, and then suspended your account on the 1st hence the reason this system is in place for every customer as it always has been. Its also the policy of every other web host I have come into contact with.

If you paid on the 1st, your web hosting month will run to the 1st and will do so every month that you pay before the 1st.

Probably the part where it states services will be suspended if payment is not received

Rest assured eUKhost are not the only company on the internet which invoices customers early. Infact, every web host I know does this, simply for the fact it allows their customers to pay early if they wont be available on the due date to make payments.

There is no dishonesty involved.

eUKhost are very fair. I have known invoice run a week or even more sometimes past their due date and only then the customer suspended.

However, eUKhost does have the right to suspend any account for non payment on the day that the payment is due for. For example in this case, if the customer has paid till the 1st, the hosting will be active to the 1st.

I do have a question though, if the 1st is referring to August then it is 3 days overdue already.

Okay, I don't want this turning into an argument, this is obviously something which needs to be talked about with the billing department.

Topic Closed.

There is no argument - I believe the customer should be able to air any views he has in an open environment and obviously there has been some misunderstanding or mistake here.

After all - moderating or censoring the forums just to include positive reviews is not what we are here for .

guitar, we understand that it can be frustrating when problems arise or mistakes / misunderstandings happen but eUKhost will be more than happy to sort them out .

I'm not censoring anything. The topic is still here ready for everyone to view. I simply closed the fact because it became off-topic, and the fact it was turning into something which wasn't a customer testimonial.

Edit: Guitar - yes we do understand your frustration, mistakes do happen, we're not robots, we're humans, but was there really any need to report your own post as spam to get all moderators to view the topic. A quick email to billing@eukhost.com will be able to get you an explanation for what's happened.

Topic moved to cPanel Technical support - the topic is much better suited here for us to help you with your problems.

I will re-open this topic so that you can get help on these issues from us should you so wish guitar so that you dont have to keep reporting the topic as spam to talk about it but please lets be constructive here.

Posts that arn't helpful will be removed and the topic will be closed again with great speed if its going to wander off purpose.

We're not the enemy here!

What is the PHP problem that you are having. Is a certain function not working now?
Billing problem can easily be sorted with billing as both me and Thomas have mentioned.
And I can assure you your IP isn't being blocked for using multiple cPanel accounts - you can access 50,000 from the same machine if you like and there should be no issues.

Hi Guitar,

I'm not able to figure out your account details as you have used different email address on this forum.

Please take a look at our terms and conditions to know our billing policies :- http://www..eukhost.com/terms.php

Quote:
12. Billing

12.1 If paying by a cheque, please allow 5 working days for the cheque to clear and for us to open the Account. If paying via postal orders or cash we will endeavour to set up your account on the same day.

12.2 Invoices are generated 10 days before the official due date. Payment must be made by the due date to avoid the suspension of your account. If no payment is received, your account will be suspended 5 days after the official due date. If no attempt is made within the next 10 days to pay due invoice(s), we reserve the right to permanently terminate your account and format all data held. In total 15 days from the official due date will pass before we permanently terminate your account.
Invoice is sent 10 days prior to renewal date. We give sufficient time to customers to avoid any sort of problems for those who have their domains registered with us. Your website hosting will go down if your domain expires and it takes 5 - 10 hours more for DNS propagation on renewal of such expired domains.

Daily payment reminders are sent once Invoice gets overdue and I don't think there's anything wrong in sending such reminders.

I do have to concur with Mark on this situation.

In fact, I would be very disappointed if the invoices were sent out last minute, with no reminders then I forgot and my website hosting went down. I'm sure other people think the same, if anybody doesn't then please do say .

Dear eUKhosts,
Just to throw in my own 'two-pennies worth' . . .
This is a subject that I was going to write in about to ascertain how I should go about renewing my own accounts when they become due and am glad to have it clarified here.
I must agree with Mark and David and am glad we are given the bill early so that it gives me ample time to pay. Being on a limited income I know that if I was given the bill and had only a few days to pay I'd have problems.
This way I have plenty of notice and can now relax, safe in the knowledge that my sites will be up and running for many years to come ! [provided I pay of course . . . ]
Kind regards to all,
Jon

Hi Jon

Websites having good uptime keep on growing with time and your website will become your main source of income in future. Give some time to your website daily and add new content as and when possible for you. As a marketing person, I can assure you that google will start pushing more traffic in your direction if you spend 1 hour every day for your website.
