Keep being sent home.
Seem to be having a lot of PHP with one of your servers, go to make a post on our forums that involves HTML - sends me back to root of the domain. Same with Mambo, I dunno whether its a feature of PHP or the fact your running PHP5.
It's starting to get rather annoying due to the fact our members are having problems and I can't update certain parts of the website hostings without going into phpMyAdmin manually.

Have a look at the following thread:
Problems with Forum when using <>
The problem you are facing is due to the fact that mod_security is disabled. This is because injection/hacking attacks can be launched using insecure code + HTML. From what you say, I take it that this is a PHPBB forum, if so I highly suggest that you update your forum to PHPBB 3; that should iron out any problems. If you don't want to update your forum and need the HTML editing, you can open a ticket with support and ask to be moved to a server (firefly) which is available for customers who need certain disabled PHP functions among others.

Hello Alex,
This is due to mod_security rules on the server so to get through this you will need to add following code in .htaccess file in your public_html :-
Code:
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>
You can also go through has some one been bashing and hacking again? for more information on this security rules and solution.

I'm running Invision and have this problem. phpBB doesn't appeal to me due to other insecurities.

A very Poor Show
The fix is easy but why were we not informed of a change in the server setup.
I had to discover that there was a problem-then I telephoned technical support in india
They are truly useless and use a nearly unintelligible low quality phoneline.
According to technical support there is no problem.
So now i have found the solution to the problem on the user forums but I am very angry with the situation and the waste of my time and the poor support which is on offer from eukhost.
All the telephone contacts on eukhost website hosting seem to lead to the same pisspoor indian call centre -even the sales number. I want to speak to someone in the UK who works for eukhost directly.Is there anybody really in Durham?or anywhere in the uk?
update: a ticket to support got a response-they apologized for the inconvenience and mod_security has been disabled on my domain.
I would have preferred some advance warning of a change in the server configuration.
I am left quite dissatisfied with this hosting company's support

We have been assured in the past by eUKhost that the only server modifications that get made without prior warning are those that have a serious affect on the security of the server .

That may be the case but we did not receive any notification even after the fact.I was left to discover the problem and solution myself.Two different telephone support workers denied that there was a problem at all.
I notice that the forum is full of posts about people who have encountered mod_security related problems.the only solution offered is to disable mod_security using htaccess.I would be grateful if anyone here could supply more information about the mod_security rules which are in place and any other configuration options that might be more appropriate than totally disabling this extension.

I am sure that someone like Mark will explain the reasons for this fix in particular when he sees your post. The only other solution given in the past is to get moved to the insecure server - but I am sure that it is more preferable for you just to use the disable mod_security solution.
I am unsure how much information that eUKhost can provide about the mod_security rules without compromising the security of the server but I am sure they will give you as much information as possible.

I've already had a look at this thread and I have emailed our CTO to discuss this with me in the morning. something must be wrong in the rules as so many customers should not have problem with mod_security
If you get redirected to homepage by posting html code then there has to be something modified in the mod_security rules.

I had to work this out myself a few weeks ago. It's affecting a lot of us, and yet again, it would have been good it we had been told about these changes before or after....

These problems have been very few and far between for me and I have only experienced this specific problem on a couple of occassions.
Do keep us updated Mark - would be interesting to see if their is a resolution or whether it is an error in the security rules .
And who is chief technical officer - you should convince them to post on the forum!
