localhost/removecookies - SMF error - UK Web Hosting

I have SMF 1.1.8 installed on my hosting. I have tried to edit the features and options but when clicking save I get directed to localhost/removecookies Chrome gives me a broken link error and Firefox gives me a cannot connect error.

I have posted for support on the SMF community forum however I have found posts suggesting that the error may be linked with the server.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Hi,

This error appears due to mod_security settings on the server. You will need to contact us on live chat support Or drop an E-Mail at support [at] eukhost.com.

We will check logs on the server and try if we can fix the issue without disabling the mod_security for your account.

hey sorry to bring an old-ish post back from the virtually grave but..

i also have just got this error on a fresh install of Drupal 6.12, i am now adding support for jQuery dropshadow effect and have the plugins all setup correctly (drupal validates them in admin panel) when i tried to update.php with the new jQuery Eye Candy module setup (its just a wrapper for drupal that injects .js for supporting jQuery function calls onto each page)

Apache/2.2.11 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.2.6-3ubuntu4.1 with Suhosin-Patch Server at localhost Port 80

from google.. i arrived here.. which is convenient because i am a new eUKhost customer as of yesterday LOL

looks like a mod_security issue with apache..

any help please ??

drop shadows are not critical to my site .. thats a fact.. they just look nice LOL
would be great if i could use them =D
