Newby questions on FTP and MySQL

3) Description of problem:
3.1 - I am trying to use FileZilla to FTP to my domain using port 21, but without success. It seems to establish a connection, but times out after trying to initialise TLS. I am using the user ID as sent to me in my welcome email.
Can you please a) check that my FTP account is not blocked, and b) provide me with the FTP settings for Filezilla?
