not sure if this is in correct forum .
anyway i am on a dedicated server that is owned by someone else. he gives me a package and basically i run my sites .
the problem is that he claims his email system works on the server but my php email senders dont work .
i have used all different types of code to see if it was my coding but even the ones i know for sure have worked in the past just dont send .
my sites i run have a verification email send to them and if they dont get it then maybe ave lost a user/ member .

is it possible to have just my personal package not work with php email . the server web mail works fine .
if its my code then i feel foolish am pretty certain its not as i give resellers out also and the ppl i give them too have probs with email verification .

can someone advise me on wot to do . its not a great pain but would like to know what was wrong.

I am not sure about the exact settings of dedicated server your account is hosted on.

Try to use following test script to check php mail.

$subject = 'the subject';

'Reply-To: emailid@yourdomain.com' . "\r\n" .
'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion();

mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);

If you are using any type of form then try folowing url in action.

<form action="http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-sys/formmail.pl" method="post">

If problem still persist then please open a support ticket at our helpdesk along with exact domain and location for your php mailer so that we can investigate the issue further.

heya matthew i sorted the problem this afternoon i had a brain wave just as i was going to open a livechat session i checked Mail Statistics and found out that it was denying user under "nobody" so i tweaked that and all worked fine.

i have passed that info on to my dedicated server host. and he has fixed the prob .
