Just a question for any eUKhost *staff* — is it wise to allow and encourage this sort of question publicly, then answer it publicly? As far as I remember this was previously recognised as being a potential security issue ...

I tend to agree with that. Surely it's better to point them to or resend the activation email?

I would think it's only a small security issue - as this kind of information can be found fairly easily on the net by anyone who really wants to.

Greetings,

There is no such security risk for giving out name-server information as like esnail mentioned. It is quite easy to get name-server information from any DNS lookup tool and IP address just by a ping command.
As long as we are not giving out any Username’s and Password’s it should be fine.

If any of our valuable clients think there are any security risks other than this which I might not know then please let me know about them.

Best regards,
Rich.

Rich, I too don't find any potential security threat from the info what was asked & what was provided, as no authentication or account sensitive data was involved during this conversation. But I'd strongly request to email our Billing [billing @ eukhost.com] dept regarding any such account related queries..

@Rich : Once again thank you for your help
