Default Problem with Fantastico and OR

I have just joined this forum as I about to throw my computer down the Adalucian mountain where I live out of sheer frustration

For a number of days now I have been trying to get one of my Open Realty website hostings back online. The whole thing went pear shaped about a week ago with multiple errors which I could not resolve. I have just moved the website hosting onto the EUKhost server and migration went well and website hosting was working perfectly, however I was going to make the upgrade from 2.4.0 to the current version of 2.4.1 so I thought no problem.

How wrong could I be I have spent the last few days not only trying to install OR manually but also via fantastico, in all 10 installs have been done, all went fine until I try and configure anything on the website hosting and save it I get shot back to my main website hosting without any of the changes taking effect. I posted on the OR support forums and got nothing back, I spoke to the helpline yesterday and asked if there were any reported problems with fantastico and OR, I did not get an answer to that question (Thanks Alfred) Today being totally hacked off and not being able to find the cause it occurred to me that this might be a server side issue and decided to come along to the forum to see if this would shed any light on the problems I have had. I now understand that this might be a mod_security issue

Now I am usually a very mild mannered woman with heaps of patience, but working in temperatures of 48c and also having this problem tends to reduce my cordiality.

So can one of you very nice people tell me what I have to do about this so I can actually get on with my business, if this is what is causing the problem??

Interesting that another install I have on another domain seems to be working OK albeit ver 2.4.0, however I have not double checked that as yet, so would be grateful of a reply so I can actually start enjoying my weekend.

Many Thanks

Very hot, ranting ex pat in Spain

Hi,
Please place a ticket/email to our support dept (support@eukhost.com) & provide us with the domain name on which you have upgraded the Open Realty website hosting, we'll get it fixed ASAP.

Round to mine for Sangria then chaps, bring your swimmers as it is 48c here and climbing !!

Thanks for that appreciated. Can you confirm that other website hostings are going to be ok? One of them is awfully big and a tad important to me.

Cheers

Thumbs up

I have checked the other domains as far as I can for problems and there do not seem to be any but I will keep and eye on them.

I will now be able to go out this weekend and enjoy the Altiplano Rock Fiesta. Shall I put the Sangria in the fridge to cool?

Cheers Guys, Appreciate your prompt attention, have not forgiven Alfred yet and I hope his leg smarts

Hi,

Thank you very much for offering Sangria I never heard of it earlier.

Here's what I got from Google whilst hunting for it : The blood-red color of this beverage inspired its name, which is derived from the Spanish word for "blood." Sangria is made with red wine, fruit juices, soda water, fruit and sometimes liqueurs and brandy or cognac. Sangria blanco (white sangria) is made with white wine. Both are served cold over ice and make a refreshing cooler on a hot summer day.
I hope we had hot summers like you have to enjoy the drink I have started feeling thirsty now...

You are correct the word Sangre is the word for blood and we always put spirits in it. We also drink Tinto Verano which is summer wine made in a similar sort of way, very necessary for keeping cool.

Heading off out now as it is approaching midnight here in Spain and this is the time every thing kinda kicks, might be back before the birds get up, but I doubt it. Have a good weekend guys and thanks again for your help

Adios, Besos
