Pspell/Aspell module

Any chance of getting PHP compiled with Pspell?

I'm running a shared account off typhoon.eukhost.com (account nojow).

We do have Pspell/Aspell installed on some of our servers. I am not sure which one though so you need to open a ticket for our support team from http://support.eukhost.com and ask them which server has got Pspell/Aspell.

They can move your account to that server or maybe they will install Pspell/Aspell on Typhoon itself if that makes no problem for the server.

This is something that needs to be done by our senior Linux System Admins as they are the responsible people for proper functioning of servers.

Ok, I raised a ticket, and got this answer:

Hello,

Well, we do not allow these module on shared server. You will have to go for VPS Hosting or dedicated server for this.

Please do revert back to us in case of any queries, we would be glad to further assist you in this regard.

So, no luck really. Any other suggestions on what I can do? I've had a look at a spell checker that uses google's spell checker, but I would have preferred the aspell option...

Hmm.. I think the best thing is to wait for Mark to come back to this thread then - maybe if you post the ticket number here it will assist him with your problem?

I don't think there should be any problems in providing Pspell, however you will need to wait unless a Mr. Mark is here.

I would suggest you to reopen the ticket and we can sort this for sure.

Yes, I think so, thanks for asking. It has been quite a learning experience, I just wish I didn't have the habit of setting up an account with eUKhost, then discovering some missing piece with the current setup, asking for a fix, getting told they'll have to move my account, then move, only to find out that some setting doesn't work any more... The support guys have been really good, and if I knew my stuff better, I probably could have avoided a lot of the headaches, but where would be the fun in that?

Now, if I only could get my external mySQL client to work again...
