Default Server Uptime

Hi,

I have a bronze shared hosting package and am experiencing periods where I cannot access my website hosting.

This usually happens between 12:00 and 14:00 GMT. Is there any logs, I can check to see if the server went off-line?


Is anybody on the same server having any issues, similar to the above?

Server IP: 78.129.128.20

Hello Stu,

There has been no problem with Typhoon recently. I am not sure what the reason could be for such problem as 2 hours downtime could be huge and none of our customers would tolerate that if that had happened with any of our server.

I am quite sure that your DNS resolvers have some problem. Please make it convenient to check your website hosting from http://www.megaproxy.com when you face such problem and let me know the results.

You maybe right, that it is a problem at our end, so I'll check out our network is set up correctly.

let me know if you see anything strange.

other option to find perfect solution for this problem is to run tcptraceroute and provide us with the results. You can download tcptraceroute from http://www.goheer.com/products/tcptraceroute/

You should traceroute IP of your Server or your domain name to get the results that will help us to troubleshoot.

I sometimes get short downtime in the middle of the day but I think its more of a problem with the monitoring service as sometimes I have been on the net when I have had the email sent saying that the website hosting is unreachable but then I have tried to visit it and everything has been fine .

The solution I use for that is to use two. That way if one has a problem, the other should still be ok and it helps me understand a bit more of what's going on.

That is what I am in the process of doing but with my computer blowing up conviently I am waiting till its sorted so I can get my own computer back up and running the way I want it and then set all of this kind of stuff up .
