Default Setting up Email problem: Cant work out why its not working?

Hi folks,

I've managed to set up a few email addresses on my hosting after my initial thread asking about it that I posted a few days ago. All working well.

However, this afternoon, a client asked me to set up an email address for them and I did so, went through all the motions in the control panel and it went through ok.

However, when setting up Outlook 2007 for them using the details from the control panel, it gives me this:-

And when I click on "Send/Receive" it shows this:-

Here's what I have in Outlook, but when I go to "Test Account Settings" it shows the above error message:-

I recently transfered over the www.rsresourcing.co.uk domain name from 123 Reg to here on my hosting package at EUK.

Out of all the domain names that I have registered and set up on my hosting, this one is the only one that I'm finding I simply cannot set up any email addresses for.

Is that something to do with the fact that I have transfered this domain name over from another host?. I have added www.rsresourcing.co.uk as an addon domain and everything apart from the email address setting up appears to be fine.

Any info appreciated. My client needs this email address up and running ASAP and I thought it would take 2 mins to do so, but sadly, that appears not to be the case.

I'm sure I have got everything correct in the Outlook settings, which is why I'm posting this as I cant understand why its not working properly.

Many thanks once again,

Gaz.

http://www.rsresourcing.co.uk/ cannot be found - so there's your problem - check you nameservers if you have have changed them more than a few days ago - if you changed them very recently (within the last day or so) then simply allow time for the domain to propagate.

Hi Gaz,

After checking I found that the DNS for the domain rsresourcing.co.uk is mis configured or does not exist at all, we need to know your primary domain which has the hosting account to check whether this domain is added properly to it.

I'm not sure what you are asking for, but I think my primary domain is www.gwlogic.com

Ok, here is the problem, you have an account on the server with name servers as ;
ns25.eukdns.com and ns26.eukdns.com (the ones on your primary domain)

and the name servers that you have updated on the addon domain rsresourcing.co.uk are :
ns23.eukdns.com and ns24.eukdns.com which are in correct.

Please login to the control panel of your domain registrar and change the name servers of the domain rsresourcing.co.uk to the correct ones (ns25.eukdns.com and ns26.eukdns.com)
The name servers should propagate within a few hours and the emails should then be working.

Thanks very much, Matt.

Been working all day so could not reply earlier.

Whereabouts in my control panel do I change the nameservers?.

I had a quick look this afternoon but it was on my PDA phone which didnt make it easy to navigate and see what I was meant to be looking for!!!.

Thanks.

Gaz.

Hello ,

The registrar for the domain rsresourcing.co.uk is eukhost.com .I have made the necessary dns changes for your domain .

Global DNS prapogation for the domain would take a hour or so ,and then the mails would be working.

Cheers.

You have to do this through the billing cp (http://www.eukhost.com/mb/). Find the domain in question and there will be links there which will take you to where you can change your nameservers.
