Default SFTP / Symlinks on Shared Hosting

Hi,

Some quick questions:
- is it possible to have SFTP on your shared hosting
- is there some way to create symlinks on your shared hosting (the reason I'm asking is, that I'll be running some TYPO3 sites, and instead of uploading the source for each site, they could share the same source - but that would require som synlinks)

/Peder

Hello Peder,

Welcome to eUKhost forum

We do not offer SFTP on our shared servers by default however we offer Jailed SSH access on some of our shared servers so you can setup SFTP for your account if you wish to.

You can also create symlinks via SSH access.

cPanel has no such feature. I would suggest you to avoid using symlinks for important data as cpanel won't take backup of symlinks and you will loose your symlinks if you decide to download backup of your account from cpanel.
