Jeez!!!!
Yahoo are awful when it comes to resolving issues such as these!!!.
Keep us informed folks, was hoping Yahoo might have got their collective fingers out and sorted this by the end of the week.

BT are also pretty damn useless for webhosting. I went on their livechat the other day to ask about some features of their packages and they said they didn't know! My response was simply "So why do you have this chat if you can't answer questions?!"
I hope you get this fixed but other hosting companies etc. are pretty damn useless at sorting issues!

BT, BT Broadband, BY Yahoo, BT Openreach, BT Wholesale, BT Business......
They spend so much money on branding and marketing (those awful tv adverts) that there's nothing left to pay for decent technical expertise. When it comes to broadband, mobile technology and anything more complex than a standard analogue phone BT are a laughing stock as far as I'm concerned. They only just keep it together with the "voice" network because they inherited infrastructure and experience from the nationalised arm of the GPO. Without this network (essentially paid for by taxpayers btw) BT would be nothing.
As Nick says, they've not yet responded. I'm not surprised. I sent a complaint through bt.com (I still have a bt email account from the days when I was foolish enough to think they were any good), and the answer I got back was "we are aware of the issue and are working on it". I should imagine that "working on it" means they're desperately looking for someone who knows what X-YahooFilteredBulk means, what it does and how to fix the problem. This exercise will in itself take a long, long, time, since, as I indicated at the top of this thread, BT does not invest in technical expertise, but in marketing people who spend all its support money on naff tv ads that try to convince us that BT is some sort of groovy, go ahead family that "really cares".
Having said all that, there has been some progress - I sent a test message at 15:03 yesterday afternoon, and it arrived at 11:03 this morning. 8 hours to send a single line of a message, but at least it got there. Busby must be very proud!

I'm sure you know this already, but I've just done some testing - mail from viking to Yahoo mail servers is being delayed/failing but mail from liverpool gets through immediately, and with no problems.
Any differences in configuration of the servers that would have suddenly made Yahoo refuse mail from Viking, but allow it through from Liverpool?
Or is it just that someone on Viking has been spamming, and Yahoo have got twitchy?

Again, could be a problem with Yahoo! and nothing to do with eUKhost. But it could be worth checking the settings / accounts on Viking just in case. Have you contacted support regarding this issue?

Even Yahoo has no answer for this question
There's no way for us to figure out why they delay emails from specific servers. both servers are high configuration servers and they are in same submit with same connectivity and similar DNS records.

LOL
It does not surprise me at all that Yahoo don't know why this happens!
I've just sent them another complaint. I'll get the same automated response I'm sure.
Time to start encouraging people away from any BT related mail accounts I think.....
[Edit] One difference between Viking and Liverpool is, of course, that Viking allows open relay, whereas Liverpool does not. That wouldn't have any bearing on the situation, would it? [/Edit]

Well at least Yahoo! are sticking true to form!! .
It does seem strange how they can't answer the quesiton and identify a problem because if there is no problem their should be no delay. Might be worth pushing Yahoo! on this problem however I do understand this is a near on impossible task!

I don't think you need to do that! I've got two new clients in the last week who've migrated from BT because of the trouble they're having!

None of our servers have Open relay. I was surprised to see this post and we all checked immediately to see if Viking was doing open relay.
You can verify from http://www.spamhelp.org/shopenrelay/

Well users tend not to need a lot of convincing when the walls are falling in around them! They like things to work, and don't understand all the technicalities hence why working in Internet businesses it is vital to have good customer support and technical team.

It's also quite amusing they come to me asking "Do you know any good hosting companies?" not really that's what my business does! Lol.

Mark,
Apologies about the open relay post - I ws confused by the information here:
http://www.mxtoolbox.com/diagnostic.aspx?
Which appeared to show Viking as an open relay!

Still an ongoing problem with Yahoo addresses - it's a lottery as to what gets through, most fail and the few that do take at least 12 hours.
I did get an automated response from Yahoo which was extremely patronising ("did the sender send the email?").
From experience with BT's so -called support I know that if I keep on and on and on at them, then eventually the penny will drop - but frankly I left BT Broadband because I was so sick of doing that every time something went wrong and I'm loathe to do it now!
Simplest thing I think is to start sending out invites to gmail to all my contacts, and dispensing my own domain's mailboxes to primary contacts. Do all we can to keep the cowboys at BT, Yahoo etc.. out of the loop as much as possible!

I would think DNS Stuff is more reliable and Mark has already confirmed that the information DNS Stuff is giving out is correct .

DNSStuff only does a partial test; abuse.net trials about 6-12 different scenarios against the server do is more in depth.

WARNING! Your server could be an open relay.
I consider myself highly knowledgeable when it comes to troubleshooting email problems but I've given up incase of Yahoo. They have no documentation and no guidelines to troubleshoot email problems.
last time when our billing system and helpdesk was not able to send to Yahoo then we got all our staff members to make mailboxes on yahoo and send emails from our helpdesk to their mailboxes. We told them to manually check all those emails which went in bulk folder and tag them as "not spam". We never had any problem after we did this as all our welcome emails and tickets properly reach inbox of customers.
Your problem is sending time so I really don't know what can be done to get this sorted. We will keep on trying if you leave a ticket open in our support department.
